Schooled

Have you ever been mean to someone because of how they look? Especially if it makes you look like a better person? Sometimes we judge people without even getting to know them, In Gordon Korman Schooled the characters makes fun of a boy name Capricorn Anderson. He doesn’t know anything about the world, even though Sophie Donnelly, Zach Powers and Hugh Winkleman were mean to him, at the end of the day Cap had a positive affect on them.

One character that Cap Anderson affected in a positive way is Sophie Donnelly. The first day she met Cap she was judgmental, ride and impolite. In other words she called him freakazoid consistently, poured water on him, and always made fun of his clothes. As she gets to know cap, her whole attitude changed. Sophie started to realize that he was a kind, good-hearted boy. Sophie began to be nice accepting and good for who cap is. She drove all the way to Garland Farm to pick up cap up so he could go to the Halloween dance. Therefore she judged Cap on how he looks; now she sees how good of a person he is.

Cap affected Zach in a positive way also. Zach is a bully to all the wimps and nerds, and Cap was one of them. Cap liked Zach a lot, even though he called him names and spit a spitball in his hair. Zach became friends with Hugh because Cap was getting all the popularity, Hugh and Zach didn’t like it. The pulled one big prank on Cap that caused him to go to the hospital. All the time being together Zach started to realize that he’s not bad after all. Hugh was the only kid who’d stuck by his side while the whole school was against Zach. Zach was starting to appreciate Hugh and he was a good friend. If Cap didn’t get all the popularity Hugh and Zach would of never thought of becoming friends. Zach went from bullying Hugh to appreciating him.

Many of the characters in Schooled by Gordon Korman, were judgmental, rude and mean because of hoe Capricorn Anderson looked. However after getting to know Cap they realized he was a kind-hearted boy. Therefore Caps goodness affected these three characters in a positive way and they all became better people and learned from him
